Inoca Corporation, based in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, established its first overseas subsidiary, Innoqua Asia Sdn. Bhd., in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, in October 2024. The company aims to conserve marine resources in Southeast Asia, one of the world's richest hotspots of marine biodiversity, and to create further value from them.

On October 15, 2024, Inoca also signed a memorandum of understanding with Universiti Sains Malaysia to strengthen research and development on the conservation and restoration of algae and seagrass.

Through these activities, Inoca aims to conserve the rich marine ecosystems of Southeast Asia, including the Coral Triangle, and expand the possibilities for sustainable use of marine biological resources.

This initiative was realized with support from Leave a Nest's commissioned project for the ASEAN-Japan Economic and Industrial Cooperation Committee (AMEICC), which promotes overseas expansion through collaboration between Japanese startups and ASEAN companies.
